Description

One of the themes in my art portfolio consists of my favorite heroes and heroines out of costume, doing everyday things. One of our fellow CAF members, Stuart Neft, is the lucky owner of such a piece done by Rick Leonardi, featuring my two favorites--Kitty and Illyana--in a moment of thoughtful repose. When I found out that Mr. Leonardi would be coming to the 2011 Heroes Con, I met him there, armed with a copy of that piece, and asked him to do something with a similar feel for me.

This piece is what he came up with, the two best friends sharing a listen of a song over an iPad. So what are they listening to? Tiamat or Slayer? Depeche Mode or New Order? I'll leave it up to you to decide. Me...I'll just enjoy the great artwork! Thanks, Mr. Leonardi!!! :D

Wonderful. It's nice/odd to see what your friends would be doing now, if you or they never aged or changed. 1988 meets 2011. There is a certain sadness and nostalgia going on. Thanks for posting.
