DescriptionJeff Jones oil painting of my Wife and I.This was a birthday present from my good friend Tom Horvitz who commissioned Jeff for the portrait. I couldn't have been more floored when I open the box and found this. On Jeff's old website it was listed in paintings,as painting 51. In the new book " Jeffrey Jones, A Life in Art" it's pictured on page 166. On the back of this AMAZING Edition it states - "This beautiful volume of his personal favorites will only enhance his reputation and cement his standing as one of America's greatest living artists." He was a friend and I miss him. This painting is Priceless. Social/Sharing |

This is really priceless. I know when I saw Jeff's revamped site go up a couple years back, how proud I was to see my own commission sitting right there up front. It had been more than a decade since it was painted, and yet Jeff still thought to put it out there to share. So when I saw it printed in the new book, and that same note, I too was touched by the thought it had been one of Jeff's favorites. but the talks and the ideas on art Jeff shared along with the talent just make these pieces feel all that more personal and dear. Thanks so much for sharing the story behind it with us!

Did you ever imagine back in the 1970s when we were a bunch of comic book fans at YSU that one of your art heroes would one day paint a portrait of you and your future wife? This is too cool for words, Topper!

Never in my wildest dreams. Those days seem a million years ago. You've got a very nice collection as well, I'm in the middle of a dealine, but I will respond and comment on some of your pieces shortly. Is everything esle good?
