Dirty Pair: Fatal But Not Serious #1 page 25 illustration by Adam Warren

      Adam Warren drew this illustration for a mock ad in the Dirty Pair Fatal But Not Serious Dark Horse mini-series from 1995. This story takes place at the Kei 'n' Yuricon '41 convention on September 13-15, 2141.

      In previous years, it was part of my SDCC routine to pass by Antartic Press several times daily to try to catch sight of Adam hanging out or catching up to him at his Dark Horse signing. This year, my brother Stuart published Adam's Empowered: Extra Sketchiness sketchbook and Adam came by to see us. I spent a couple hours with Rae and Darcy setting out the sketchbooks for Adam's autograph. These signed copies are available from Stuart Ng Books

      One particularly interesting commission published in the book is an image of Ridd1e's EMPOWERED cosplay. Note the comments by Terry Dodson, Rick Mays, and Allison Sohn (aka Mrs. Adam Hughes) on the drawing.
