Description

Original artwork page 3 for Batman Son of the Demon GN (DC, 1987) by Jerry Bingham. This book represents the very first and one of the most important Batman graphic novels in the history of the character. A commercial and critical success and bona fide masterpiece in storytelling and illustration.

This piece is from the gripping opening scene as a small group of Qayin's terrorists are held up and dung in a Gotham wearhouse as Commissioner Gordon heralds the Batman to the crime scene with the Bat Signal.

Penciled and painstakingly inked with a quill pen by Bingham with an amazing amount of time and attention given to the rendering and tiny details on the page. Comic book illustration at its zenith!
