Description

Original artwork page 38 for Batman Son of the Demon GN (DC, 1987) by Jerry Bingham. This book represents the very first and one of the most important Batman graphic novels in the history of the character. A commercial and critical success and, without any doubt, a bona fide masterpiece in storytelling and illustration.

Pivotal scene as Batman and Talia lead a small task force of Ra's men to try and sabotage the launch of a US weather control satellite that Qayin has planned to usurp to instigate WW III with between the USA and USSR. Three great full images of Batman in action with Talia and Grind (Ra's bodyguard) featured as well.

Penciled and painstakingly inked with a quill pen by Bingham, dip and ink, dip and ink etc., with an amazing amount of time and attention given to the rendering and tiny details on the page. Very reminiscent of the legendary Hal Foster's work. Comic book illustration at its zenith!

Pages are not only BEAUTIFUL they are HUGE! Paper measuring 15" x 20" with image size of approx. 13.5" x 17" (twice-up art). In excellent condition on heavy illustration paper.
