DescriptionSince Jim wrote the story, I thought it only fair that he get to do the One Minute Later; Jim came up with a terrific, sparse illustration that pretty much shows exactly what would be occurring one minute later from the published cover.Social/Sharing |

A simple, but striking and sad image. Less.... Grand Guignol than the Mignola original, but more tragic. Never a fan of the story, but a great idea to get Starlin to do it too.

Another industry legend providing a masterpiece for a comic art collecting legend. Outstanding.

Unfair. Too good for one person's collection. The OML should be an exhibit.

About the only way this OML could have been any more awesome would be if Starlin and Aparo had teamed up to create it. Since that's impossible, given the passing of Mr. Aparo, this is as awesome as could be!

I've been a bit quiet about this piece- it has that effect. A very sad moment captured brilliantly in an OML tribute. Your series is fantastic and I've loved most of your OML commissions but this really is something special in more ways than one.

I'm always kind of amazed at the responses to my theme. I'm glad you are enjoying it and I agree that Jim's understated drawing was just perfect for the subject matter.

Starlin did a great job with the theme and it could easily have served as a cover for the next TPB edition. Well done !

Hard to follow up on the original Mignola masterpiece, but Starlin hits the right notes in terms of art and layout here. Striking, but somber piece, congrats!
