SABRETOOTH SPECIAL #1 PAGE 19 by Gary Frank

A great page for this amazing one shot event back in the days. The X-Men hunting a very dangerous Sabretooth all over NYC.

The art by Gary Frank and Smith was fantastic. Rarely had Sabretooth looked so realistic and dangerous. I think Frank brought his feral side like very few artists could.

A perfect exemple of this would be the last panel where Beast has no other choice but to protect himself with his forearm in order to avoid being ripped appart, like one would from a ferocious dog. The stare in Sabretooth is perfect. Pure rage complete with foam at the mouth!

Note how Beast is drawn with pupils which I find is a nice touch. Anyway, as always great art and storytelling from mr Frank.
