Journey with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear ...

When I first had the notion of putting together my favorite obscure golden age heroes into a "team" my absolute first thought was to ask Dan to do it. What with his Frank Robbins style I thought it would look great. I approached Dan to see if he was interested and he was totally up for it. Unfortunately, Dan had to go and become ~famous~ and get all busy working for Oni and DC. So while it took a while for his schedule to free up I -really- think it was work the wait. Clockwise you've got Stardust, Moon Girl, Hydroman, Green Giant, Blue Fire, Doc Strange, Iron Vic, Kid Tyrant, Black Cat and in the center's Strongman. I really dig Stardust's face here (just perfect) as well as Iron Vic's. And I love Kid Tyrant's pose as well as Dan's placing Moon Girl behind Stardust like that.

Again, props to Roy Johnson for reminding me how many cool golden age PD characters there are out there.

OK, this is annoying me that's there's only 1 comment so far - this looks cool. I can see a bit of Ditko in Iron Vic and the composition is nice. Whew.
