What can I say, this piece is is grail like to me!

That series made such an impression on me and now I have the massive painted cover to it!

Its so massive that I couldn't scan it and had to use a digital picture for this

Of course its framed and link to framed picture

love this ; i always thought GA was cool, and hooking up with blackCanary was a true arrow in his quiver ;) but i think he was after a lil sumthin else in this one. congrats on hooking this up !

Congratulations, Malvin. We'd talked about Longbow Hunters before, and it is SO awesome that you were able to pick up exactly the kind of definitive example that you had always wanted. It's a lovely page, Grell at his best.

Jaw. Dropped. Absolutely gorgeous painting by Mike Grell for the cover of Green Arrow: Longbow Hunters. The painting features a stunning image of Oliver Queen, Green Arrow, juxtaposed against a masked ninja also using a longbow. The two hunters are clearly in different places, perhaps in different centuries, each posed having drawn back the string and ready to release the arrow, but each is aiming in the opposite direction. The painting is finished in muted colors of orange and brown with touches of yellow and red and sage green. It's a gorgeous piece of work, very memorable from its use in the Green Arrow: Longbow Hunters TPB. Great pick-up, congrats!
