Description

After seeing Nimit’s very cool and sexy X-23 for Danny Truong at this year’s Wizardworld Toronto show, I immediately put my name down for his take on X’s (sort-of) sibling, Daken. Nimit begun the piece then but did not get a chance to finish it. When I saw him at Fan Expo, he said he wanted to start afresh (the unfinished one was still in his portfolio) and came up with this more thoughtful version. The first iteration had been more traditional with claws out – and I kind of still want it – but this one has really grown on me. It’s going up on my bedroom wall just as soon as my Manapul Superboy has ended its turn. (Fan Expo Canada, 08/2011)
