I was lucky enough to get in on Herb Trimpe's commission list early at NYCC 2011. I know it's kind of cliche, but I really wanted to get a 1st appearance Wolverine. He finished it mid-day. I was walking by the Marvel booth to go outside when I saw a big commotion on stage. Then several arms went up, a lot of them holding up comics. A guy on stage started pointing out people to either accept or reject. I then heard that it was for a surprise Stan Lee signing. I held up the Trimpe Wolverine I had just picked up. After they rejected a bunch of people around me, they pointed at me and said yes. Then they closed the line down. I got to do a nerd-bucketlist item and met Stan Lee, shook his hand and got him to sign my picture. Super-great moment!
