This is probably the coolest thing i own. Mike Allred has been my hero since i was a kid and read Madman/Superman Hullabaloo for the first time. i was always into superheroes and whatnot, but it was the first comic book i ever actually sat down and really read. it totally changed my life. i remember that year for my birthday getting everything else Mike Allred had ever done and just knowing that this was it for me. Comics were to be a constant thing in my life for as many more birthdays i'm able to have.
i spotted this art from across the room at Big Apple Con a few years ago just sitting on a table all alone. the very nice old man selling it was pretty much completely deaf and the whole transaction happened on paper (me and this man writing notes back and forth to eachother.) Before i walked away from the table the man said, "I got this from him, now i'm giving it to you." it was the first piece of original art i've ever bought, and just like that, Mike Allred changed my life for the second time.

Nice covert.Congrats. I know very well this deaf old man you talk about (an old friend) and he used to always have excellent pieces of art !!
