Description

George Evans - The World Around Us #6 The FBI, page 4 Original Art (Gilberton, 1959). The FBI battles the Nazi fifth column in this dramatically detailed page by EC alumnus George Evans. Image area of 10.5" x 18". Excellent condition. The page was probably signed for Joe Orlando.

George Evans provided Gilberton with artwork for many fine classics adaptions in the late 1950s. "Romeo and Juliet", "Lord Jim", "In the Reign of Terror", "The Three Musketeers" and "The Buccaneer" to name a few.
Sometimes Evans worked with Reed Crandall as well ( see "In Freedom's Cause").
George Evans died on 22 June 2001.
