In this The Neighbors panel from October 6, 1941, a harried mother rushes in the front door, only to be greeted by her family awaiting dinner. The father exclaims: "Seven o'clock and no dinner started! What good is all of your club's national defense work going to do if you undermine the nation's health this way." Boy, how times have changed. I love the attitude of the little girl's figure in this piece. Clark doesn't have to have her say a work. Her body language conveys it all.
