Description
How to describe a piece of art like this...
My first thought was: Good Lord, I NEVER saw anything like THIS before!
I held it into the light to see the pencil's shine. I needed to, because otherwise you can't believe it's actually real! And then you sink into the piece studying every single pencil line Jay made and the awe is just growing. How someone managed to put so many, MANY lines into a 11x14 piece, how someone actually can keep so true to detail (e.g. rocks/cave or the blade) and anatomy remains a miracle to me. It's one of those pieces of art, which just keep on MESMERIZING you, whenever you lay eyes on it.

This is not only Jay's best work and the most stunning cover for Witchblade... but this was also used as a cover for a landmark issue. Issue 92, the 10th anniversary origin special!! You scored a perfect tri-fecta, Claudia!! Sincere congrats on owning what is probably the most jaw-dropping, beautifully executed covers in Witchblade history. :)

This is unreal. I remember Jay's work on Aria being fantastic but this is light years ahead. I love how he got that effervescent glow in the water cascading over the rocks. That's something I've never really seen before in a pencil drawing. Congrats!
