DescriptionAt long last, I own a page from SOTSW! No Swampy or explosions here, but it contains the sense of dread that Bissette and Tottleben brilliantly captured from Alan Moore's writing. The concept that Jason Blood has been serving as host for a demon is somehow more frightening than if Etrigan were an entirely separate entity, and this realization shows in Abby's reaction. Also, Blood's subtly twisted features in the last panel are superbly done: is he just wearing a wry smile, or are we getting a last glimpse of the fanged monster just below the surface? "Swamp Thing" was and remains the stuff of real nightmares, even in its quieter moments.Social/Sharing |

Pages by this team from this series have become increasingly more difficult to find. Congratulations on an excellent acquisition.
