The Subs Saga & Infinite Timelines are great multi-commission projects but sometimes less is more...so its back to Re-Legion basics

Thats the case in this piece by artist Darryl Banks. His run on Green Lantern was fun so I asked him to Re-Legion one of his old covers. We went for this great kissing sequence which originally featured Jade & Green Arrow .

In our version its Sun Boy & Laurel Kent. Sun Boy is the Romeo Legionnaire, the party-boy, player who gets pulled into a passionate fling.( Not for the 1st time either..one of my favorites was when GiGi Cusiamo and Yera (Chameleon Girl ) played some crazy tricks on him,,,)

Laurel Kent was first introduced to the Legion as a 31st century descendent of Superman but after the Crisis on Infinite Earths messed up continuity,( with the sole survivor of Krypton rule ) she became a Manhunter whose job was to infiltrate the Legion and destroy it from within..

She does so by seducing the seducer : by, playing the player..Darryl did a lovely job and Chris Ivy's work on the logo etc brought in over the finishing line in style...

I love Darryl Banks' work and I love Laurel Kent so of course I love this. I especially love the expression on Sun Boy's face, as if he never expected the first move to be made on him.
