Orcale and Nightwing by Jeremy Dale and Kelly Dale

This may be my favorite drawing ever. I didn't know of Jeremy and his wife's work before I got to C2E2 this year but I won't forget it now.

I was walking through artist alley when this piece: http://www.jeremy-dale.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=4994 caught my eye. Dick and Barbara are individually two of my favorite characters and together my favorite couple (read Nightwing Annual 2, possibly my favorite single issue). I ended up putting it on hold but after talking to Jeremy and hearing about his love of the characters, I let my buddy buy the Batgirl/Nightwing piece and commissioned something featuring Oracle and Nightwing. I was a little worried that I gave up something awesome, but then I picked up the above piece.

The detail and mood are striking and I keep finding new things I like about it. When I was carrying it around other artists kept talking about how much they liked it too. Not to mention that both Kelly and Jeremy were so warm and friendly and really brightened up my day after a grueling morning on the floor. You should check out their website at www.jeremy-dale.com.
