One of the things I pride myself on is that I'm a pretty personable convention goer, I talk up people in line, I'm courteous and kind to the artist, and make sure to shower ever day. I think I'm a pretty cool guy. That said, Tim Seeley is a really cool guy. So cool that all my swagger completely disappeared and I was a bumbling mess. To top it off, he's a Chicago native so I looked like a doofus to a fellow local. *Sigh*. A step back on the, get invited to go drink with local artists dream.

On the plus side, he gave me the best compliment I think you can get as a customer at a con: "I spent way too much time on this". It's nice when you ask for something that the artist has a fun time drawing. I try to play to the artist's strengths without boring them and hearing comments like that makes me feel like I hit the sweet spot.
