In a rare interview here done far later i nthe 1970's Robbins essentialy talked about the fact that at a certain point he just quit using a pencil anddrew with a brush or pen on the comic strip- hard to beeive he did that this early - but defintiely my later daily was doen sans pencil! An amazing and underrated artist.
