MIXED MEDIA: Watercolor & Gouache.

Like Arthur Sarnoff, Edwin Georgi had an amazing ability to demonstrate his mastery of shadow & light using color. His many "beauty portraits" which he is best known for are a testament to that, as are his magazine story illustrations. Although Georgi is most well known for using a fairly bright palette, he occasionally used a more muted palette, such as with the pastels he used on this piece.
