This is a full colour acrylic painting on thick art board originally commissioned in 1987 and published in 1988 by Hodder & Stoughton as the front cover of the paperback title "AUDACITY TO BELIEVE" by best-selling author Sheila Cassidy.Andy's brief was to paint the shadow of a dove in flight (representing the concepts of peace and freedom) cast upon a generic stone wall. "This is the moving true story of Sheila Cassidy, who as a young doctor went to work in Chile and became caught in the terrible injustice of the country - injustice which led to her own arrest, imprisonment, torture and expulsion..."
