DescriptionThis huge painting was received in a trade with Ralph for one of my landscape sketches, mostly due to his incredible generosity.I've added a scan of the traded sketch below. Some of the color is washed out of it, especially in the sky, but you get the idea. Social/Sharing |

Is that the landscape on the coffee table? Man, that is one sad clown. Great trade and even better story. Your son will remember this all his life I would bet.

I got there about thirty minutes after the photo was taken - or so I would assume, as the clown had already filled the ashtray with butts and collected several more bottles on the table. Thereafter things got fuzzy. When I woke up the next day, I was still in the holding pen. My wallet was gone, as was the clown. Damn clown.

Fantastic trade, and even more fantastic to spend time with a legend. I was noticing the mixed media piece on the wall behind the couch that looks like parts of the art are sticking out - what was it? Pretty intriguing.

Pretty intriguing.Ralph has been working on a lot of 3D constructions, based somewhat on his Brooklyn upbringing. They're quite beautiful in person.
