Ray’s style is very reminiscent of Lienil Yu’s, whom I thought did a masterful job depicting the Skrulls during Marvel’s Secret Invasion event. As Daredevil only played a very minor role during the Invasion, I thought it would be cool to see Ray provide a little peek behind the curtain of how DD was spending his time when the infestation was made known. [Honestly, I was just looking for any excuse to see Ray draw a Skrull and sci-fi machinery in the same pin-up.] As you can see, Ol’ Hornhead wasn’t the most hospitable ambassador for planet Earth. Ray really nailed the in-your-face action on this one, and I love the result! Thanks a ton, Ray! This rocks!

The finished ink version looks great, and I totally agree that there is a Lienil Yu resemblance in the layout composition, although in Raymund's style.
