Description

We finally got the cover to Heavy Metal Magazine several years ago. A dream realized with one of my creations... Maura. Lorenzo suggested the clever concept of depicting a scene inspired by the "Pieta". I was thinking of having her looking sexy and sinister leaning against a tree. :)

This creepy cover was accompanied by the first 14 pages of the Maura storyline. After a very favorable response, I was encouraged to develop it into a 55 page story which was published over 2 comic book issues.

Thanks to Kevin Eastman and the Heavy Metal Magazine family. The best in the business!!!
