Description

Alessandro Biffignandi est un artiste italien né à Rome en 1935.
Biffignandi a acquis ses notions et sa subtilité du dessin au studio Favalli. En 1960, il s'installe à Milan, où il commence à travailler pour de nombreux périodiques et pour plusieurs éditeurs.
Parutions en France

De la fin des années 50 au début des années 60, il travailla par le biais d’agences Milanaise pour des éditeurs Français.

Il a alors peint de nombreuses couvertures pour les revues de l’éditeur Lug, telles que Nevada, Hondo, Kiwi, Yuma et Rodéo. Mais on le connaît surtout pour avoir dessinés quelques séries, comme "Flambo" , "Agent K-3", "Peter Berg", "John Kine" et "Rombo Bill". À la fin des années 1960, il a travaillé pour Fleetway, en peignant les couvertures de "The Spider" (Spiderman dans la revue éponyme).

Dear friend, the master Biffignandi NEVER did all this:----Il a alors peint de nombreuses couvertures pour les revues de l’éditeur Lug, telles que Nevada, Hondo, Kiwi, Yuma et Rodéo. Mais on le connaît surtout pour avoir dessinés quelques séries, comme "Flambo" , "Agent K-3", "Peter Berg", "John Kine" et "Rombo Bill"----. The REAL Biffignandi is NOT in facebook and NOT have any website wich shows his art.

Hi Roy, thanks to tell me your dubts, I think the facebook page is probably just a fan page but it seemed to me showing his original covers, about the other black and white works you are talking about, the web is full of such information I will study better his career and I will verify those old comics, I thought he was doing a totally different kind of work before 1980.. and after he started a work mainly as illustrator and with his famous covers horror ect.. my compliments for your collection from his works very intersting selection of illustrations. Interesting cover painting. Well done. May this be by Leandro Biffi instead? There is at least one website out there that has confused the two and attributed Biffi's work to Biffignandi.
