Description

At HeroesCon 2012 (which was awesome!) I had the pleasure of meeting longtime internet-friend Paigey who is all-around awesome herself. I bid on her Batgirl auction piece but got priced out. So I was STOKED when a few days later she put up a notice saying she was taking on a limited number of commissions, especially considering there's so little original artwork from her out there. So I figured, "Well, I've pretty much GOT to pick a chick character..." and I wracked my brain but the comics world just wasn't giving anything to me. I like X-Men and Batman, but like - Rogue? Jean Grey? Ivy? Not really my cup of tea. But Columbia on the other hand! Well, let's say she probably inspired, no, identified -- my love of cute-faced girls with short (red) hair, AND is probably the only chick who ever made me wish I was Meat Loaf. (And was portrayed by Joan Jett !!! in like a 2000 production of the stage show --- man, somebody get me a time machine!) So basically yeah, figured, "well, it's not comics, but..." and this was the AWESOME result! Super-happy on this one all around. Thanks Paigey!
