Description

This was a gift from a fellow collector. So a long time ago, more often than not I ended up the under bidder a lot of Mike Grell art that appeared on ebay. Whenever I would lose an auction it would almost always be to one guy. He became my arch nemesis and it became very frustrating. After a while pieces I had lost started popping up in one gallery on CAF, but I wasn't sure if he was the same guy from ebay. Then one day I get an email from him and there it was, I finally discovered who my nemesis was.

We talked art and Mike Grell art, He was a Warlord/Starslayer guy and I was a Green Arrow/Warlord guy. He told me his major wants and I told him mine, turns out he had my number one want. Sometime later when he decided to move it, he offered it to me. We worked out a fair deal and we were both happy. I had my number one want!

Fast forward a little more and I stumble upon his number one want. I figure I'll buy it, send it to him as a surprise and he can pay me back later. Only problem is it's being auctioned off in Chicago and there was no way to bid online. I called everyone I know (okay two people) who I thought could help me. They were willing but couldn't guarantee they would be there. Out of options, I let him know where it was, when it was being auctioned and who to contact. He took it from there. He won the art and as a thank you bought this Green Arrow and sent it to me. I told him it was unnecessary but he did it anyway. My thanks to Rick.
