When I was a kid I loved Fred Hembeck Destroys the Marvel Universe his parody work is great. His characters are always drawn with curlicues at the elbows and knees. I picked this up from the artist years ago.

Long-overdue third comment! Brilliant recreation, and I'm right there with you in regards to the effect that viewing Fred's work has on me: staring agog, with younger eyes, at the unique work of one who's playing by his own set of rules, infusing everything he does with a genuine passion that obviously stems from the classic Silver Age goodness... One of his fantastic recreations would be the pinnacle Hembeck piece, and you have two such sterling examples (this one being one of the coolest there could possibly be)! Wow - such great stuff. Congrats, Oscar!
