This art nouveau-inspired caster of white magic is completed in COPIC marker, acrylic paint, white ink, and colored pencils. She’s on 9×12 off-white drawing paper.
Other effects, such as a blue spring sky and orb of white light were added in Photoshop for the final published card.
This is the original artwork for a base card from the upcoming Perna Studios trading card set titled Spellcasters. The set will spotlight different types of magic (White Magic, Black Magic, Chaos Magic, Voodoo/Shamanism and Fantasy/Mythology/Fairy Tale). Set scheduled to be released in Spring 2013.
