DescriptionTwilight Zone writer and a major 1950's fantasy author Charles Beaumont did a small amount of sci-fi illustration in the 1940's for pulps books and fanzines before he started his writing career.An incredibly influential and talented writer who is most lt forgotten today- Beaumont is someone whose work I have enjoyed for decades as such I was glad to get this piece recently in a trade deal from Jeff Singh (thanks Jeff) The peice is signed ET Beaumont and I believe the ET relates to fan artist Emil T Bellingham though who knows who did what on the art. Emils work is a lot cruder than Charles. By the way Beaumont's real name was not Beaumont- it was McNutt! He took the Beaumont pseudonym for the first time when doing art in the 1940's - this dates from 1945 and was successfully owned for years by Forry Ackerman without being damaged! Forry contributed to the zine and most likely helped Andy Anderson crank the mimeo Social/Sharing |
