Le Sang des Porphyre ex libris by Joel Parnotte

Le Sang des Porphyre is not the kind of francobelgian book I would typically be interested in.

When it was published in color, I never even took a look at it. Then last year, for the end of the year, the publisher published an fantastic oversized compilation (integrale) of the first cycle of the serie (4 books)...in glorious black & white.

After flipping through the book a number of time thanks to the incredibly catchy cover, I bought it and read it in one sitting. Great book with incredibly intricate art by Parnotte.

Coincidence or not, the week following my reading, I found this little gem was for sale.

This was done as an Ex Libris (signed, numbered print) and the 2 major characters of the serie are present. I absolutely love the distorted faces background which are a big part of the serie as well and set a particular mood for it :)
