Bad Company, Ep1, p2, 2000AD #500

The second ever page of my all-time favourite 2000AD series, featuring the ill-fated Peck, the equally ill-fated Trucker, and the strangely-fated Danny Franks (that's him in the second panel with the goggles.) It's easy to forget what a powerful presence Trucker was during the first half of 'Bad Company': Danny's cynical, rather loud-mouthed comrade and friend, who became possibly the war's first victim of the 'zombie beat'. Despite his demise, Trucker's hat survived (on Danny's head, but losing chunk after chunk) all the way through to 'The Bewilderness', where Danny doffs it in respect to Sheeva and it is never seen again.
