Deadman - Neal Adams

When I started reading comics in the late 1960's, Neal Adams was everywhere - Batman, Brave and the Bold, Green Lantern, Deadman, the X-Men, the Avengers, and more covers that I could count. I fell in love with his work. He was the first artist whose work I could recognize, even without seeing his distinctive signature. And a little later, when I started going to cons, he was the first guy I collected.

Deadman has always been one of my favorite characters. I wanted Neal to capture the moment of his origin, when he was shot on the trapeze. And he did so wonderfully.
