Description

This cover was drawn in 2010 or 11 and used for promotion at the Journey's store, for the DC exclusive line of Converse tennis shoes. The comic contained DC character origins from 52, along with new origin stories (such as Catwoman's).

I felt this piece had an AH! vibe. Cary admitted he couldn't help but be inspired, being a big fan of Adam Hughes, who pretty much defined Catwoman.

Also, I just love the Converse advertisement that appeared in comics and magazines, featuring different versions of Catwoman.

Anthony, this could be a new favorite for me in your new gallery. It reminds me of the Sook piece I have that keeps popping up on ads, t-shirts, etc. now if it could only make it to cover status. :-D congrats. Really great piece.
