Description

Ah, the days of 1970's Power Records' "Book and Records", which dramatized popular comics from "Amazing Spider-Man" to "Tomb of Dracula" and even featured a "Planet of the Apes" series. This adaptation, from "The Man From Krypton" 's retelling of Superman's origin, got it right by hinting that it was Clark Kent's upbringing as much as his super powers that truly made him what he is. It'll be interesting to see if the new "Man of Steel" movie takes a similar approach.

Easily one of the best Superman images I have seen Giordano do all on his own - I love the foreshortening and the expression of Superman - has shades of Neal Adams but still uniquely Giordano's own style.
