I think this was the over Dick got the most requests for. If my memoery is correct (and it has been thirty years) It was a chance for him to make some more money on it as they used the cover for the spalsh inside and shorted him the payment!

I was told by Dick's art rep that he only did one of these in B&W. The others were all colored.

That is probably correct but I thin kthere were a lot of colored ones! When we worked out mine - Dick's frist reaction was not the utility belt again! But i had pcike out another Joker cover for Detective comics one he had forgotten he had drawn!

The Joker utility belt trap cover is amazing. Sprang's Batman is one of the best as is this cover.
