Description

This is an amazing piece by Eric Velhagen- the art measures 48" x 30" and the photo does not completely do it justice. Eric is a great guy to work with and a very talented artist.

About the piece (from Eric):

Ever since I read the stories of Tolkien, I have been inspired by those writings and wanted to paint the rich world that he created. "Upon the crags of Ephel Duath" is a depiction of the Witch-King of Angmar sitting upon his stead, the Fell -Beast, watching from the mountains that surround Mordor. I wanted to give the fell-beast a predatory and jet-fighter quality...ready to attack for his master, the Witch-King. Because of the desolation of Mordor and the death that the Witch-King represents, I kept the color palette stark and for the most part monochromatic.
