Description
WOO-HOO!!

Can't believe it, but not only was I able to get some Wildstorm trading card art by Whilce, but I added the team card of Wetworks from my favorite trading card set of all time to my collection!!

As just mentioned, this is the art for the team card which was one of the nine "chase" refractor cards. I think there were supposed to 10, but for some reason the J. Scott Campbell art for "the Coda" team card wasn't included in the set.

(See my J. Scott Campbell gallery for that art...)

I feel it may have been a little too... nudie for an all ages set, or not a good number for the printing process.

I have a few uncut sheets for this set, and having 10 team cards for the set doesn't seem like it would have worked.

This art depicts the squad actually getting the usually stoic Dane to smile.

So much fun in this piece...

Thanx, again, Dave Kopecki for hooking me up and an extra special thanx to Joe Mendoza (Dozer himself!!) for letting these wonderful Wildstorm pieces go to this Wildstorm collector.

Thanx, guys. VERY much appreciated.

Enjoy, everybody!!

Hey! I remember these cards! Especially all the long hours I spent sorting out boxes to make sets to sell. I just thought they were so cool because of the great artwork and of course they were SO shiny! LOL! Anyway, that's a great Portacio piece man! Congrats!

Thanx, Eric! Trevor did a fantastic job with the inks on this. When this set came out in 1994, Wildstorm was at the top of the mountain when it came to production/art quality. Even the design/colors in the books and cards is spectacular!! Thanx so much for the kind words, and TTYS!

I had a hard time not buying this one too, but I knew you'd love it! So if I can't have it, it's best that you get it:) Great bunch of card art, buddy! Especially this one!

I thought you might dig this, Ben!! I'm still pinching myself over this one. Although not 11x17 nor a cover, it's still Whilce Wildstorm art. Not only that, but trading card art!! My favorite kind.

At first I was peeved that dave didn't tell me about this piece, but, then I realized that it must be in your collection and he made the right call. Enjoy.
