When I was getting my Shadowcat from Adam Hughes at the 2010 Mid-Ohio show, I got the chance to talk to his wife, the talented Allison Sohn, and discover that she's nearly as big a fan of the New Mutants' Illyana Rasputina as I am. For a long time afterward, I had it in my mind that I would commission her to render a piece for me featuring our mutual favorite sorceress. When I finally managed to find a place in her busy schedule, she produced this beauty for me. I love her! Thanks, Allison!!! :D

A piece I greatly admire and dare say that it is one of Allison's best yet. The border gives it that special touch but my favourite is Illyana's eyes. Such a piercing gaze that belies her youthfulness. Sincere congrats, hon! :)
