Description

Continuing my theme of big beautiful superheroes I went with Ultra Boy (Threeboot) when I saw Jerry Gaylord at Wizard World Philadelphia. I used Brooke Snider's piece and the cover artwork to a compilation album, Life in the Fat Lane, for reference for Jo's body size. I had managed to Jerry I wanted to get a sketch from him that was strange, but I didn't say what until I met him. It's been a year since I began commissioning these pieces as a form of being more open about myself, and I felt it was important to talk to him about person-to-person first instead of over the internet regardless if he would do it, because that's something I have to prepare for in the future.

I hope to keep up an Ultra Boy theme with Jerry in the future.

I like that Jo looks a little cartoonish but he's not unattractive or gonkish.
