DescriptionIn which the late Astrologer brings Revere through a mirror into the Dreamtime, and discusses Bob Monkhouse. No, honestly - though I don't have the lettering acetate for this piece, a quick gander at the printed story reveals this may be the only 2000AD story to also mention Les Dennis. But that aside, this has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of art in my collection - the actual page is not only ultra-detailed and breath-takingly evocative, it is also gigantic, bigger even than the Book II art, which is pretty big in its own right! It's no surprise to learn that Simon Harrison is now immersed in the world of fine art - his Revere work is like nothing else that ever graced the prog.Social/Sharing |

I think Simon's work on Bk III of Revere is absolutely stunning and definitely some of his best. The variety of styles and textures he employed in each and every page is mind-blowing. Genuinely beautiful and nightmarish in equal measures...

Wonderful page, sir. I bet the original looks even more amazing. Thanks for sharing the Revere art.

Cheers, guys. There's such a unique dream-like ambience to Harrison's work (particularly, as Mark says, in Book III of Revere) that it's a perfect match for Smith's esoteric script. I'm increasingly of the opinion that 'Revere' might be best thing Smith ever wrote, and Harrison is with him every step of the way.

My brother actually memorized the windmill panel from this page and painted it for an art exam about 20 yrs ago (I copied the 'Bad Dream House'!). Such a great page. I've actually seen this original piece and it is easily one of the most spectacular pages from the entire series. Congrats, great to see it in a fan's collection!
