Description

This piece came via trade from Glenn Danzig (yes, that one) at San Diego Comic Con 2012. I managed to catch Jim Lee in the DC Comics booth and have him verify the authenticity of this piece, as well as sign it.

Lee inked this over Kirby's pencils for a trading card based on the Image Comics series, Phantom Force, one of Jack Kirby's final published works.

This is the pride of my collection because of the story behind it, and the personal nature of my involvement.

Jack Kirby, Jim Lee and Glenn Danzig, all involved with this amazing little piece of art.

This piece is mesmerizing! Fntastic link from one master to the other. I would like to know a bit more history about this piece and how it came to be.

Thanks everyone! And Carlo, I would love to know more about this piece as well. Jim was very busy when he authenticated and signed this for me, so I couldn't get the full story, unfortunately. It's so interesting that Lee got the chance to ink Kirby, and on a character he made such a mark on during his time on Uncanny X-Men.
