Lux Brevis #1 p. 6 Original Art - Unpublished Alan Moore & John Totleben Story

Lux Brevis is the fabled, unpublished Alan Moore/John Totleben project from 1985 that was to be published by First Comics. Alan Moore wrote the script for the first two chapters, with Totleben drawing the first first chapter, with Totleben also drawing in the dialogue for these pages, giving us a chance to enjoy the full story. Totleben first worked with Alan Moore (and Stephen Bissette)on their game-changing Swamp Thing run in 1984.

George Khoury and TwoMorrows Publishing secured permission to print scans of the pages in 2001's Kimota!: The Miracleman Companion (one of the high water marks in historic comic texts in my opinion), showing the pages in public for the first time.

Lux Brevis is not the only Alan Moore work that went unpublished, as a Brian Bolland-penciled Batman/Judge Dredd crossover, a Mr Monster/Swamp Thing crossover, the finale of Big Numbers, and the massive DC crossover Twilight are also lost to the decades.
