Venus by Clayton Henry

A very nice commission (though I was not the original commissioner) of Venus, the godess of Love, member of the Agents of Atlas by the amazing CLayton Henry.

I absolutely loved Agents of Atlas by Jeff Parker which was a well-written super hero title sadly under the radar of too many people.

This was a chance to own a piece of art in remembrance of that title.

Now about the art, I love the Golden age feel of the sexy attitude here. Nothing vulgar or too evident. Her attitude, more modern perhaps, is a bit saucy as she clearly knows what she's doing. The pose is also reminiscent of a by gone era of pin ups which is perfect for the character. The delicate line of mr Henry really shine on the higher quality cardstock used for the piece which is very thick and a bit grainy, giving it an even more classic feel.
