DescriptionI knew I had to have one when I saw the fantastic Aype commissions people were posting on CAF. This was a painless process dealing with a true professional both in the art and the business side of the house. I couldn't be happier with the final result! It truly looks AMAZING in person. : ) For those interested his contact person is Aurelie at ac170883@gmail.com Social/Sharing |

What a wonderful piece! Dagger is such a beauty and Cloak reminds me of Belphegor, Phantom of the Louvre...

Amazing piece and great to see Aype extend his repertoire - and they are indeed wonderful people to deal with.

This one just makes me want to cry! I have to wait one more year in order to get my first Aype commission but seeing art like this only makes me want to get in line for some more! Love that girl!

Definitely a jewel of my collection.I see you are my Texan art brother, from another mother....many art pieces I was thinking about buying or put a bit on, ended up in your collection (Texeira, Tan, Arantza to name a few) :-)

Thanks for the comment Phillip. My collection is fairly modest compared to others such as your, but i’m very Proud of this piece. He did amazing work and I’m saddened we won’t see any more.

I got here from watching your recent interview on CAF Update #25. I thoroughly enjoyed the episode in particular and really dig your collection. I'm sorry to hear Aype Beven is no longer with us. I just took a look at all of the artist's pieces on CAF. What a true talent lost. But I've gotta say, I think you have my favorite piece of the artist on CAF. The strong, enigmatic pose and expression on Cloak is haunting. Juxtaposed with Dagger's look of almost longing or ambition, the two figures together present a sexy display of art that is truly breath-taking.
As you say, I bet it really does look "amazing" in person. I wish I could, but I thank you for sharing it here with everyone on CAF. All the best to you!

Wow thanks For the comment Ryan. Glad you enjoyed the episode, it was lots of fun talking about my collection to people who actually care and get it. I'm sure I was like a kid on Christmas. That was big props for this piece and I couldn't agree more. I really hit the Jackpot on this one. So glad I had the experience and own a piece of his legacy. Thanks again for the kind words about my humble collection. Happy collecting and hope you have a great 2011!! - Ken
