Penguin - Stuart Sayger

Stuart continued my Batman villain series with this Penguin commission from 2013 San Diego Comicon. I am not a huge fan of the depiction of the Penguin as the slimy one from the movie or the comical fat one from TV. I asked Stuart to give me a Penguin that was not physically a joke and this is what he came up with.

Similar to the Catwoman he did for me earlier he not only created the art but added a story element to the piece by depicting Penguin remembering back to when he was mayor of Gotham and believing it to be his city. He also managed to create that tougher version of the Penguin that I was looking for while including the umbrella cane handle and monocle.

Evidenced by all the commissions I have had done by him I am a huge fan of his art, but what really keeps me coming back is how friendly he is at the shows. I couldn't recommend getting a commission from him highly enough, if you are looking for something creative, imaginative and different hit him up for a commission.
