Gianni is a big fan of the Shadow series. This is based on a painting that appeared on one of the old pulp covers. He had books of the old covers and people requesting commissions could look through them to pick out a cover they wanted him to recreate.

Wow. I am insanely jealous. Gianni did justice to the pulp cover and the pulp interiors. If you ever decide to let this go... let me know! Stunning pencil work.
