René Bastard obviously borrows a lot from Hal Foster, from the caption-only texts to the hieratic postures of his figures (even when they lay dead!...), but Yves Le Loup carries its own classical charm and quite a level of grandeur that is especially striking on these large art boards.

To sum it up: I saw it, I couldn't resist!
