Description

There was a time or so I'm told when artists would do free sketches at conventions,the only artist I am aware who currently does this is Barry Kitson.

I am sure there are others, but Barry is the only one I am aware of, the works are wonderful but be prepared to spend your entire convention day waiting in line. The result will be worth it as will be the comradeship that develops between Barry, his crew and your fellow line waiters.

However at the recent Nashville Comic Expo I saw two young artists offering free sketches, I took the opportunity to ask Eric for one since he brilliantly marketed his booth early in the morning by approaching people in line waiting to get in and giving them a small board with the offer of a free sketch if they dripped by his booth.

So I did and asked for an Alan Scott-Green lantern.

The result was an interesting abstract of the Earth 2 ring bearer, which my wife loves.

Forgetting all the "super-hero" stuff, he kind of resembles how the mystical Golden Age Green Lantern might look.
